About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate physician practice operations and provide administrative support to practice or clinic management
  • Perform or supervise administrative duties including payroll, HR processes, calendars, scheduling, reports, and tool updates
  • Review and respond to EPIC in-basket messages, emails, phone calls, and administrative requests
  • Monitor practice/provider workflow, no-show rates, slot utilization, and scheduling disruptions
  • Coordinate and maintain office supplies and equipment
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Create standard and ad hoc departmental reports from multiple resources
  • Support resource management and revenue cycle functions, including insurance verification, authorization, coding, charge entry, work queues, denials reduction, payroll, financials, and reports
  • Support approved small- or medium-scale operational projects
  • Coordinate meetings, conferences, and special events as required
  • Maintain provider and resource schedules
  • Perform other department-specific duties and assignments as appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Two years of experience in an administrative or office management role
  • Associate degree or high school diploma with 3 years of related physician practice experience
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication, organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Typing speed of 45 error-free words per minute
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and other Windows-based applications
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Administrative experience in healthcare or physician practice setting
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records
  • Current Children's employees or applicants with an active badge/network access must apply via Workday Career App
