About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Line manage the analytics team, including Analysts and the Analytics Lead, covering 1:1s, objectives, performance and development
  • Own intake and prioritisation of data requests from across the business
  • Set and meet turnaround SLAs
  • Supply accurate and timely reporting, analysis and operational data to Finance, Marketing, Product and Operations
  • Partner with Product Managers on feature rollouts, performance tracking and post-launch reviews
  • Own analytics-built operational controls, monitoring and MI
  • Ensure controls run on time, are documented and remain current
  • Allocate analysts across Product, balancing BAU demand against Product requirements
  • Work with the Analytics Lead to maintain coding, visualisation and data quality standards
  • Prioritise automation and tooling requests and ensure delivered tools are adopted and controlled
  • Own hiring, development and performance management for the team
  • Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Support the Analytics Lead's growth as a technical specialist
  • Raise risks and capacity constraints early with the Head of Operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience managing or leading a team of data analysts, ideally in a fast-paced, product-led or regulated environment
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools
  • Comfortable interpreting and challenging data
  • Experience prioritising competing requests from a range of stakeholders
  • Understanding of operational controls and data quality
  • Ability to translate business problems into clear technical requirements
  • Strong data storytelling for a range of audiences
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organisation
  • Experience in fintech or financial services (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with modern data tooling, such as Databricks and Python (nice to have)
  • Working knowledge of data governance, including safe use of AI tools with customer data (nice to have)
  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or a related field (nice to have)
  • Ability to work Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
