About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide clerical and information technology functions for providers in the clinical setting
- Document provider-dictated patient history, physical examination, family, social, and past medical history
- Document procedures, laboratory testing and results, dictated radiographic impressions, and other patient-visit information
- Anticipate provider needs to facilitate clinic flow
- Increase provider efficiency and improve the overall patient experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of healthcare terminology
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Effective listening skills
- Strong communication skills in coordinating work efforts
- Thorough record keeping skills
- Positive customer service focus
- Strong team and interpersonal skills
- Discreet, tactful, and respectful of providers and patients/parents
- Ability to perform required physical activities, including keyboard use/repetitive motion, standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing/pulling, and reaching
- Ability to work in environments involving airborne communicable disease, bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, dust/particulate matter, extreme noise levels, extreme temperatures, radiation, and uneven surfaces or elevations
