About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage AML/BaaS Oversight analysts or teams responsible for partner oversight, monitoring routines, documentation review, issue tracking, and AML/BaaS control activities
  • Set priorities, allocate resources, distribute workloads, and ensure timely, accurate, risk-based execution
  • Establish quality expectations, review escalated matters, and ensure findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions are documented
  • Lead BaaS partner oversight routines, including periodic reviews, remediation follow-up, evidence collection, issue aging, and management reporting
  • Identify trends, process gaps, control concerns, and recurring issues; implement improvements
  • Coach, develop, and manage performance of analysts, managers, supervisors, and senior analysts
  • Coordinate with compliance, risk, operations, business, and partner-facing teams
  • Support audit, examination, internal review, and regulatory readiness
  • Oversee outsourced BSA/AML/OFAC activities through planning, due diligence, contracting, ongoing monitoring, and termination
  • Review partner control environments, business changes, regulatory responses, risk assessments, and termination plans
  • Track issues through resolution and validation
  • Represent the function in governance forums, remediation discussions, audits, and examinations
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones and facilitate execution through situational leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • AML/BaaS Oversight Manager: minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in AML, BSA, financial crimes compliance, risk, fraud, operations, BaaS oversight, or a related regulated environment
  • AML/BaaS Oversight Senior Manager: minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in AML, BSA, financial crimes compliance, risk, fraud, operations, BaaS oversight, or a related regulated environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Prior experience supervising, managing, or formally leading compliance, risk, monitoring, review, or control teams/workstreams
  • Working knowledge of AML, BSA, KYC, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, issue management, quality review, and related control or oversight practices
  • Experience setting priorities, assigning work, monitoring workload, reviewing escalated matters, and ensuring timely completion of oversight activities
  • Ability to coach, develop, and manage team performance
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders and supporting remediation
  • Senior Manager: strong knowledge of risk-based oversight, quality assurance, governance, and regulatory practices
  • Senior Manager: experience supporting audits, examinations, regulatory responses, or remediation activities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, influencing, and change leadership skills
  • Some travel required to support business needs
