About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform or assist residents with basic personal hygiene and activities of daily living
- Provide resident care addressing social, emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical needs
- Perform daily hygiene care
- Learn residents’ preferences to personalize delivered care
- Accurately document care and promptly report discrepancies to appropriate personnel
- Apply safety, infection control, and risk management procedures
- Communicate regularly with the immediate supervisor regarding residents’ status and condition
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent
- Colorado State Certified Nursing Assistant License
- 3 – 6 months experience in a long-term care preferred
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to perform medium-heavy physical work
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or more than 45 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to stand and walk constantly, with occasional sitting, kneeling, squatting, reaching above shoulder height, and fine motor control
- Ability to grasp
- Ability to work around bloodborne pathogens, bodily excretions, and communicable diseases
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions and frequent interaction with residents, family members, and visitors
