About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide operational leadership for the Church Planting Core Initiative, overseeing logistics and technical support.
  • Foster relationships with key partners as the primary liaison to support the Church Planting Core Initiative.
  • Assist with annual planning and budgeting, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Manage financial administration and processing, including budgets, invoices, reimbursements, expense reporting, contracts, and program services.
  • Oversee operational systems and processes for initiative metrics, including data collection and reporting.
  • Identify and lead improvements that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage implementation of the communications strategy with the Director of Church Planting, Senior Program Manager, and MarCom Department.
  • Provide Donor Engagement and Advancement Teams with information supporting fundraising efforts.
  • Participate on operations-related teams and support church planting priorities within the CRCNA 10-Year Church Planting Strategic Plan.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Church Planting.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Professing membership in a Christian Reformed congregation, or of a church in communion with the CRCNA, and agreement with the doctrine of the church signified by signing a covenant statement.
  • Intermediate knowledge of church planting in the missional context globally.
  • A deserved reputation for integrity and trust when working in teams and independently.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate work across teams.
  • Experience with project management technology and data systems.
  • Proven ability to manage operational processes efficiently.
  • Competence in financial management, including budget analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in verbal and written communication.
  • Displays a mature awareness and engagement of cross-cultural sensitivities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, communications, or a related field is required.
  • Intermediate experience in operational leadership, cross-functional coordination, and administration is required.
  • Intermediate experience in church planting ministry is required; an emphasis in intercultural relations is an asset.
  • Ability to travel throughout North America and internationally.
  • Regular travel within North America to church planting events, meetings, and training.
