About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform general labor responsibilities under general supervision
- Develop and maintain knowledge of commodities and comply with company policies and government regulations
- Work with customers courteously and professionally
- Prepare trucks and railcars for loading and unloading, including sampling, opening hatches, and attaching or detaching flexible hoses
- Load and unload agricultural inputs using heavy or light-duty machinery and equipment
- Control and monitor load-out functions
- Operate automated scale/dump systems
- Record maintenance tasks and inspect equipment for seeps and leaks
- Monitor and maintain inventory quality
- Deliver fertilizer, chemicals, seed, feed, and other products to customer sites
- Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas, including sweeping, shoveling, power washing, scraping, and spill cleanup
- Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal
- Perform warehouse work, including loader and forklift operation, inventory handling, and general maintenance
- Report customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, and safety concerns to the supervisor
- Promote safety culture, identify workplace hazards, and correct or report unsafe conditions
- Perform other assigned duties to ensure smooth facility operations and excellent customer service
- Obtain a CDL and pesticide applicator license within six months while gaining hands-on experience across grain, agronomy, and feed operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must meet minimum age requirement
- 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations
- Ability to operate loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Agriculture experience preferred
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
- Selected candidates may be required to pass drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical, and FMCSA Clearinghouse screenings
