About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish and execute daily operating policies consistent with broad organizational policies and objectives
  • Act as liaison across positions and departments, developing and implementing procedures and controls
  • Coordinate work direction across employee groups and departments
  • Direct operational activities to provide prompt, courteous and effective service while maintaining operational efficiency and profit margins
  • Train employees, define and explain job assignments, correct deficient performance, and reward and develop employees
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to housekeeping, safety and equipment maintenance programs
  • Maintain facility equipment and related record-keeping logs
  • Evaluate overall operational results and report them to management
  • Oversee, monitor and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Ensure facility safety practices
  • Oversee facility or department operational activities
  • Monitor inventory condition and maintain inventory quality
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of experience in Production and/or Operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Ability to bring cross-functional teams together
  • Supervisory experience
  • Ability to operate loaders, conveyors, tractors and track mobile
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
  • Agriculture or grain experience preferred
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
