About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate feed mill equipment, including mixers and batching systems, to manufacture livestock feed
  • Receive, handle and move feed ingredients
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Prepare and manage loadout by opening hatches, attaching hoses, sampling and ensuring accurate product delivery
  • Monitor batching and scaling systems
  • Adjust processes to maintain feed quality and production accuracy
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, including greasing, inspections and minor troubleshooting
  • Report mechanical issues
  • Maintain a clean and safe mill environment through daily housekeeping, spill cleanup and site upkeep
  • Follow safety, quality and compliance standards
  • Work with the team to meet daily production targets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge of operations, production, manufacturing, agriculture or general labor environments
  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • Ability to operate machinery such as conveyors, forklifts and electric hoist
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
  • Working knowledge of basic computer functions
  • Ability to work independently for extended periods of time, in confined spaces and in hazardous environments
  • Ability to spend long periods of time on feet, including walking, standing and climbing steps and ladders
  • Ability to work at heights up to 120 ft.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to wear required protective equipment, including potentially respirators, hard hats, and eye and hearing protection
  • Ability to use automated and manual tools and equipment
  • Ability to shovel, sweep, load, unload, lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs. frequently
  • Ability to work in noisy, dusty and all-weather conditions
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Agriculture experience preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Selected candidates may be required to pass pre-employment screenings, including drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical requirements and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks
