About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of commodities handled at the location and comply with company policies and government regulations
  • Work with customers courteously and professionally
  • Provide guidance and instruction to less experienced co-workers
  • Prepare trucks and railcars for loading and unloading, including sampling, loosening nuts, opening hatches, and attaching or detaching flexible hoses
  • Load and unload agricultural inputs using heavy or light-duty machinery and equipment
  • Control and monitor load-out functions
  • Operate automated scale/dump systems
  • Record maintenance tasks and inspect equipment for seeps and leaks
  • Monitor and maintain inventory quality
  • Deliver fertilizer, chemical, seed, feed, and other products to customer sites
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas; perform housekeeping and spill cleanup
  • Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal
  • Perform warehouse work, including loader and forklift operation, inventory handling, and general maintenance
  • Report customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, and safety concerns to the supervisor
  • Promote a strong safety culture, identify workplace hazards, and correct or escalate unsafe conditions
  • Perform other assigned duties to ensure smooth facility operations and excellent customer service

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations
  • Ability to operate loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons
  • High School diploma or GED (preferred)
  • CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement (preferred)
  • Agriculture experience (preferred)
  • Forklift certification (preferred)
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs
  • Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
  • Selected candidates may be required to pass drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse screenings
