About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain machinery, equipment, facilities or vehicles independently and efficiently
  • Provide work direction and training to less experienced team members
  • Repair equipment and perform preventive maintenance
  • Identify and diagnose equipment problems and initiate appropriate repair processes
  • Monitor equipment and implement measures to prevent recurring maintenance problems
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow safety policies, procedures and regulations
  • Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe conditions
  • Inspect parts, replacements, alignment, balancing, installation and refurbishment across a wide variety of equipment
  • Coordinate with the supervisor on part replacement, advanced troubleshooting, and preventive/predictive maintenance
  • Install, maintain, rebuild and replace parts, equipment and machinery
  • Troubleshoot maintenance problems
  • Perform maintenance planning and scheduling activities to assign equipment work orders
  • Perform other duties as needed or directed
  • Service the Brandon business unit and oversee repairs at 10 grain facilities, with opportunities to assist at agronomy facilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in Production, Operations, and/or Maintenance
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting issues, identifying and completing appropriate repairs, and implementing measures to prevent recurring maintenance problems
  • Working knowledge of the operations, control, and functions of equipment and machinery
  • Ability to be on-call 24/7 during spring plant, harvest, and train emergencies
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed
  • Must complete applicable pre-employment screenings if required, which may include drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMCSA Clearinghouse screening
  • Ability to work in noisy, dusty and all weather conditions
