About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain machinery, equipment, facilities, and vehicles independently and efficiently
- Provide work direction and training to less experienced team members
- Repair equipment and perform preventive maintenance
- Identify and diagnose equipment problems and initiate appropriate repairs
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture; follow safety policies, procedures, and regulations
- Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or escalate unsafe conditions
- Inspect parts; perform replacements, alignment, balancing, installation, and refurbishment on varied equipment
- Coordinate with the supervisor on part replacement, advanced troubleshooting, and preventive/predictive maintenance
- Install, maintain, rebuild, and replace parts, equipment, and machinery
- Troubleshoot maintenance problems
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities and assign equipment work orders
- Service repairs across 10 grain facilities in the Brandon business unit, with opportunities to assist at agronomy facilities
- Perform other duties as needed or directed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in Production, Operations, and/or Maintenance
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Experience troubleshooting issues, identifying and completing appropriate repairs, and implementing measures to prevent recurring maintenance problems
- Working knowledge of the operations, control, and functions of equipment and machinery
- Ability to be on-call 24/7 during spring plant, harvest, and train emergencies
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
- Ability to work in noisy, dusty, and all-weather conditions
- Must pass applicable pre-employment screenings if required, potentially including drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks
