About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Load and unload grain, agronomy, feed products, and agricultural inputs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs
  • Monitor and maintain grain and inventory quality
  • Mix and load fertilizer and chemical products
  • Assist in loading trains
  • Prepare trucks and railcars for loading and unloading, including sampling and attaching or detaching flexible hoses
  • Control and monitor load-out functions
  • Operate automated scale/dump systems
  • Record maintenance tasks and inspect equipment for seeps and leaks
  • Deliver fertilizer, chemical, seed, feed, and other products to customer sites
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas
  • Perform housekeeping, grounds maintenance, and snow removal
  • Operate loaders and forklifts and perform warehouse work
  • Report customer complaints, maintenance needs, and safety concerns to the supervisor
  • Follow company policies, procedures, regulations, and safety requirements
  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure smooth facility operations and excellent customer service

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations
  • Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred
  • Agriculture experience preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
  • Selected candidates may be required to pass pre-employment screenings, including drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks
