About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate machinery and equipment in a processing facility under general supervision
  • Ensure product quality, safety requirements, and throughput in the assigned area
  • Conduct continuous inspections and monitor equipment
  • Record operating parameters and adjust machinery and equipment to meet specifications and production targets
  • Implement QA policies and procedures
  • Complete sampling and testing of process streams, interpret QA results, and take appropriate action
  • Comply with regulations and complete required record keeping
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment as required
  • Maintain housekeeping, sanitation schedules, and the general appearance of the assigned work area
  • Load and unload products to and from trucks and railcars and carry materials
  • Monitor, maintain, and care for issued tools
  • Complete initial, ongoing, and supplemental training
  • Promote a strong safety culture, identify workplace hazards, and correct or report unsafe conditions
  • Collaborate with coworkers to support plant operations, solve problems, and identify improvement opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Production Operations
  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to work independently for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and hazardous environments
  • Ability to spend long periods on feet, including walking, standing, and climbing steps and ladders
  • Ability to work at heights up to 120 ft.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to wear required protective equipment, including respirators, hard hats, and eye and hearing protection
  • Ability to use automated and manual tools and equipment
  • Ability to shovel, sweep, load, unload, lift, and carry materials up to 50 lbs. frequently
  • Ability to work in noisy, dusty, and all weather conditions
  • Must pass required pre-employment screenings if applicable, potentially including drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks
