About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate machinery and equipment of a processing facility with limited supervision
- Ensure product quality, safety requirements, and throughput in the assigned area
- Conduct continuous inspections and monitor equipment
- Record operating parameters and adjust machinery and equipment to meet specifications and production targets
- Implement QA policies and procedures
- Complete sampling and testing of process streams, interpret QA results, and take appropriate action
- Occasionally deviate from normal process procedures for investigational studies
- Comply with regulations and complete required record keeping
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment
- Monitor, maintain, and care for issued tools
- Complete initial, ongoing, and supplemental training
- Maintain housekeeping, sanitation schedules, and general appearance of the work area
- Collaborate with coworkers to support plant operations, solve problems, and identify improvements
- Promote safety, identify workplace hazards, and correct or report unsafe conditions
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience in Operations and/or Production Operations
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to work independently for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in confined spaces and hazardous environments
- Ability to walk, stand, climb steps and ladders, and work at heights up to 120 ft
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs
- Ability to wear required protective equipment, including respirators, hard hats, and eye and hearing protection
- Ability to use automated and manual tools and equipment
- Ability to shovel, sweep, load, unload, lift, and carry materials up to 50 lbs frequently
- Ability to work in noisy, dusty, and all weather conditions
- Successful completion of required pre-employment screenings if applicable
