About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Load and unload grain products and agricultural inputs from railcars and trucks using heavy or light-duty machinery/equipment
  • Perform maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities, including lubrication and inspection for seeps and leaks
  • Probe incoming trucks and prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading
  • Control and monitor all load-out functions
  • Operate automated scale/dump systems
  • Monitor and maintain inventory quality
  • Deliver fertilizer, chemical, seed, feed, and other products to customer sites
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas; perform housekeeping, grounds maintenance, and snow removal
  • Perform warehouse work, including loader and forklift operation, inventory handling, and general maintenance
  • Report customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, and safety concerns to the supervisor
  • Promote a strong safety culture and follow company policies, procedures, regulations, and safety requirements
  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure smooth facility operations and excellent customer service

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations
  • Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred
  • Agriculture experience preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
  • Selected candidates may be required to pass pre-employment screenings, including drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks
