About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform assigned maintenance, repair, or construction functions under the direction of the Lead Facilities Technician.
- Repair and maintain casino facilities and equipment as directed.
- Move, set up, and break down tables, chairs, displays, decorations, temporary lighting, signs, and promotional devices.
- Repair and replace lights, bulbs, plugs, outlets, switches, fixtures, equipment, and parts as needed.
- Perform all work in a safe manner.
- Work closely with Team Members and supervisors of the gaming operation.
- Assist guests or politely direct them to a Team Member or department who can answer their questions or assist them.
- Uphold a work environment promoting teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, and collaboration while role modeling company values, behaviors, and One.Team.Chumash culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
- Two years of prior experience as a specialist in the designated field.
- Ability to operate cleaning machines and equipment.
- Basic mechanical and electrical ability and understanding is required.
- Forklift Scissor and Boom Operator Certification within the first year.
- Must participate and complete required ongoing departmental training.
- Must hold a valid California driver's license and meet the insurance requirements of Chumash Enterprises.
- Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and internet.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
- Native American hiring preference applies.
