About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping functions
  • Maintain vendors, including creating and modifying vendors and managing W-9 and NDA processes
  • Record vendor invoices in Intacct or Bill.com and submit them for review
  • Complete vendor, credit, and other applications on behalf of clients
  • Process Form 1099s annually where applicable
  • Record journal entries for cash transfers, payroll, accruals, asset purchases, capital improvements, and client personal assets
  • Reconcile bank, brokerage, and credit card statements, including transaction feeds into accounting systems
  • Maintain client files and records in shared network folders
  • Respond promptly to client requests
  • Use and interpret financial statements
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 2+ years’ accounting experience focusing on A/P, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations and Data Entry
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups
  • Preferred experience with Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, or similar accounting systems
  • Expeditious and accurate data entry skills
  • Ability to work independently as a highly motivated self-starter
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to build relationships within teams
  • Core self-management skills: time management, organization, prioritization, resourcefulness, and problem-solving
  • Detail oriented, intelligent, and inquisitive
  • Accountability and ownership
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Family Office experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States; Corient hires U.S. citizens or permanent residents for U.S. employment opportunities, subject to stated exceptions
  • Must be willing to execute Corient’s Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement
  • Ability to work onsite 4 days per week
  • Ability to work in an office environment, including prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • May be required to lift up to 15 pounds
