About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform daily, weekly and monthly bookkeeping functions
- Maintain vendors, including creating and modifying vendors and managing W-9 and NDA processes
- Record vendor invoices in Intacct or Bill.com and submit them for review
- Complete vendor, credit and other applications on behalf of clients
- Process Form 1099s annually where applicable
- Record journal entries for cash transfers, payroll, accruals, asset purchases, capital improvements and client personal assets
- Reconcile bank, brokerage and credit card statements, including transaction feeds into accounting systems
- Maintain client files and records in shared network folders
- Respond promptly to client requests
- Apply familiarity with financial statements
- Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 2+ years’ accounting experience focusing on A/P, journal entries, bank reconciliations and data entry
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Preferred experience with Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, or similar accounting systems
- Expeditious and accurate data entry skills
- Ability to work independently as a highly motivated self-starter
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to build relationships within teams
- Core self-management skills including time management, organization, prioritization, resourcefulness and problem-solving
- Detail-oriented, intelligent and inquisitive
- Accountability and ownership
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Family office experience preferred
- Ability to work in an office environment, including prolonged sitting and computer work
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
- Must be 18 years of age or older
