Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a technical authority in the evolution of highly available, scalable solutions within a Java- and AWS-based cloud-native ecosystem
  • Define and evolve distributed systems architectures using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native technologies
  • Establish technical standards and engineering best practices for scalability, performance, security, and maintainability
  • Design and evolve solutions based on microservices and event-driven architectures
  • Contribute to decisions regarding messaging, data persistence, and system integration
  • Support the evolution of platform engineering and Developer Experience practices, promoting standardization and team autonomy
  • Participate in architecture and infrastructure decisions involving AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD processes
  • Identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities in highly available systems
  • Lead architecture discussions, code reviews, and mentoring for software developers
  • Help large enterprises turn the potential of AI into real business impact through AI Deployment, AI-native execution, and technology-integrated business solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong experience in backend development with Java 17+ and the Spring ecosystem, especially Spring Boot
  • Experience designing and evolving distributed systems, microservices, and highly available applications
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging using Kafka and/or RabbitMQ
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning
  • Experience developing and operating applications on AWS
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices
  • Strong knowledge of SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, DDD, and resilience patterns for distributed systems
  • Experience making architectural decisions, defining technical standards, and evolving complex solutions
  • Ability to serve as a technical authority, influence decisions, and support the technical development of engineering teams
  • Nice to have: experience with Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs), Developer Experience (DevEx), Backstage, Port, or Kratix
  • Nice to have: knowledge of Event Sourcing, CQRS, and Sagas
  • Nice to have: experience with EKS, ECS, MSK, RDS, SQS/SNS, and IAM
  • Nice to have: advanced knowledge of OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools
  • Nice to have: experience with GitLab CI and infrastructure automation
  • Nice to have: knowledge of FinOps and cost optimization in cloud environments
  • Nice to have: experience with OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS, or Zero Trust
  • Nice to have: technical certifications in AWS, Kafka, or related technologies
