About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and enhance backend services in Java
- Design and implement scalable APIs and microservices

- Work with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Participate in technical refinements and architecture decisions
- Work on a financial-sector project, building and evolving distributed, scalable, and resilient systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Based in Brazil
- Strong experience with Java (Java 21+), Spring, and Hibernate
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and design patterns
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, Clean Architecture, BFF, and DDD
- Experience designing REST APIs using Spring Boot and AWS API Gateway
- Knowledge of application security, including authentication, OWASP, and best practices
- Experience with unit and integration testing using JUnit 4+ and Mockito
- Experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate, S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch)
- Knowledge of messaging systems: Amazon SQS, Kafka, or similar technologies
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code: Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Experience with CI/CD and familiarity with Git
- Familiarity with using AI in development, including code generation and automation
- AWS or Java certifications are a plus
- Experience in high-scale environments is a plus
