About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join the client’s team and independently and systematically drive the development of solutions for the application’s backend
Work with backend services in Go and Kotlin
Implement and manage containers using Docker
Orchestrate services in Kubernetes environments
Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
Work with PostgreSQL databases for data storage, manipulation, and troubleshooting
Implement observability practices using Datadog
Integrate messaging systems such as Kafka for communication between services
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
Explore and implement AI-powered coding solutions using tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or Windsurf

Requirements

What you’ll need

Knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages: Go, Kotlin
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with PostgreSQL databases
Understanding of observability and monitoring practices using Datadog
Experience with messaging systems, especially Kafka
Knowledge of microservices architecture patterns
Understanding of application resilience, scalability, and latency
Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate in an agile environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to proactively manage and navigate demands
Experience with agile processes, including the use of Jira and Confluence
Knowledge of tracking-based methodologies, Merge Request (MR) practices, and software quality
Ability to solve complex problems creatively
