About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with CI&T to support a client in the employee benefits sector
Help the team and client increase process maturity
Develop and enhance backend services using Java/Spring Boot
Integrate applications with AWS services (SNS, SQS, Lambda, S3, Redis)
Model and access data in Oracle and MongoDB, with a focus on performance and scalability
Write clean, testable code that adheres to SOLID, Clean Code, and Clean Architecture principles
Participate in technical decision-making
Support the team with code reviews and the continuous improvement of services
Collaborate on solutions that create a real impact for large enterprises

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience with Java (17+) and Spring Boot (3+)
Hands-on experience with AWS (SNS/SQS, S3, Lambda) in a production environment
Knowledge of event-driven architecture, including event modeling, contracts, topics/queues, DLQs, and idempotency
Hands-on experience with microservices, including service-to-service communication, API versioning, and basic observability
Solid knowledge of relational databases (Oracle) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
Experience with automated testing (JUnit/Mockito), including unit and integration tests
Understanding and practical application of SOLID, Clean Code, and layered architecture / Clean Architecture
Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar) — preferred
Experience with Redis/ElastiCache — preferred
Experience applying Artificial Intelligence — preferred
Knowledge of Azure DevOps (repositories, pipelines) — preferred
Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) — preferred
Autonomy, proactivity, and accountability for deadlines and delivery quality
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with peers
Openness to feedback, a continuous learning mindset, and willingness to contribute to the team’s growth
