About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Help write and refine specifications (SDD), ensuring clarity, completeness, lack of ambiguity, and testability
  • Transform specifications and acceptance criteria into test scenarios (BDD/Gherkin or equivalent) before development, using AI as an aid
  • Define the testing strategy for AI-agent workflows, including automated validation, human review, and quality gates
  • Review AI-generated code and tests, identifying coverage gaps, false positives, and brittle tests
  • Build and maintain automated API, backend, and mobile test suites integrated into the CI/CD pipeline
  • Create reusable prompts, instructions, and contexts for generating tests, test data, and reports
  • Prepare test data, including AI-assisted synthetic data generation
  • Perform root cause analysis of failures and incidents and define mitigation plans and long-term solutions
  • Define and monitor quality metrics for agentic workflows
  • Promote best practices in quality and responsible AI use
  • Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and architects throughout the entire lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Solid experience in software quality within agile teams, with a shift-left approach (participation in refinement, acceptance criteria, and testability activities)
  • Experience with API/backend and mobile test automation (iOS and Android), using frameworks such as WebDriverIO, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, PactumJS, Mocha, REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools
  • Experience with CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and using tests as quality gates
  • Experience with BDD/TDD and writing scenarios based on requirements
  • Practical experience using generative AI tools at work (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT), along with knowledge of prompt engineering and context engineering
  • Critical-thinking skills to validate AI outputs and identify hallucinations, gaps, and risks
  • Experience with task management tools (preferably Jira) and test management tools (Zephyr or similar)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence the team without relying on hierarchy
  • Must reside in Brazil
