  • Initially focus on decommissioning a COBOL platform, driving code and architecture modernization in a modern, efficient environment
  • Participate in implementing and maintaining engineering best practices, ensuring quality and operational efficiency in deliverables
  • Collaborate on defining and evolving backend solution architecture using Java/Spring, microservices, and messaging integrated with AI capabilities
  • Promote and guide teams in applying unit testing, test automation, and code reviews
  • Lead technical analyses and align architectural and functional decisions with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
  • CI&T helps large companies transform AI’s potential into real business impact through AI Deployment, AI-native execution, and enterprise solutions integrated with technology

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong experience in software engineering with Java (17+) and the Spring 3.x ecosystem
  • Practical experience applying Artificial Intelligence to software engineering
  • Experience with agile development best practices and code quality
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture, messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Pub/Sub), and cloud concepts (GCP/Azure)
  • Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or DB2)
  • Hands-on experience with unit testing, code quality, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Jira, 42crunch)
  • Understanding of distributed systems concepts: synchronous communication (REST/Feign) and asynchronous communication (messaging/Pub/Sub), idempotency, retries/circuit breakers, and eventual consistency
  • Knowledge of Angular 16+, TypeScript, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures (EDA) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Experience with Saga, Event Sourcing, CQRS, and distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry)
  • Experience designing context architectures (RAG, local knowledge bases, or specification files such as agents.md)
  • Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, an analytical profile, and the ability to work in dynamic environments focused on continuous innovation
