About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and enhance the core components of the AI Platform, including model governance, providers, tenants, and usage policies
Design and enhance routing, load balancing, fallback, and LLM usage and cost-control mechanisms
Develop integrations with LiteLLM and various model providers in public cloud environments
Enhance APIs, services, and observability mechanisms, ensuring the platform’s performance, availability, scalability, and reliability
Investigate incidents and complex production issues, identifying root causes and proposing structural improvements
Participate in architectural decisions by evaluating trade-offs, technical risks, and impacts on the platform’s various consuming products
Serve as a technical reference for the team, contributing to engineering standards, best practices, and the professional development of team members
Collaborate with platform-consuming teams to refine solutions and resolve integration issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience in backend development with Kotlin/Java and/or Node.js
Experience designing and developing distributed systems, APIs, and highly available services
Experience with public cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of LLMs and generative AI application architectures
Experience integrating models using at least one major cloud LLM provider, such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or GCP Vertex AI
Knowledge of mechanisms related to LLM operations, such as routing, fallback, streaming, and usage management
Experience with observability and troubleshooting distributed systems using metrics, logs, and traces
Knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB
Knowledge of key concepts related to RAG, AI Agents, and Agentic AI
Experience making technical and architectural decisions and serving as a technical reference in highly complex environments
Hands-on experience with LiteLLM and AI Gateway, LLM Gateway, or Model Gateway architectures
Experience with multiple LLM providers in production environments
Knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol)
Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks
Knowledge of LLM observability using tools such as Langfuse, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana
Knowledge of vector databases, semantic search, and RAG architectures
Experience with guardrails, security, and access control in AI applications
Experience with Helm, GitOps, or developing tools and agents for AI coding
