About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using COBOL for online and batch processing
Perform technical analysis, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of Mainframe systems
Develop and maintain JOBs using JCL
Analyze impacts and dependencies related to changes and new functionality
Maintain and enhance legacy systems while considering technical and business requirements
Access and manipulate data, files, and DB2 databases
Work with CICS in online applications
Perform testing, validation, code analysis, and corrections
Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the technical evolution of solutions
Support the investigation and resolution of incidents and complex problems
Document analyses, solutions, processes, and maintenance activities
Use TSO, Debug Tools, ChangeMan, Hexavision, and Jira
Share knowledge and support less experienced professionals
Participate in Agile ceremonies and rituals
Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to resolve problems and enhance solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience in COBOL development, including online and batch processing
Experience with JCL for JOB development and maintenance
Experience with CICS and DB2
Knowledge of file manipulation, including PDS and sequential files
Experience with TSO
Experience with tools such as ChangeMan and Debug Tools
Ability to perform code analysis, troubleshoot problems, and assess impacts
Experience maintaining and enhancing legacy systems in a Mainframe environment
Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Autonomy, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to resolve highly complex problems
Required on-site presence at the Campinas offices for candidates residing in the Campinas Metropolitan Area
