About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join a CI&T squad working on a financial services client
Help move an established Java-based web application to a modern React frontend
Analyse legacy pages and convert them into a well-structured component library
Build and maintain responsive, accessible user interfaces with React and TypeScript
Grow and maintain a shared component library based on shadcn/ui
Connect frontend applications to backend REST APIs
Handle loading, error and empty states consistently
Write unit and component tests with Vitest/Jest and React Testing Library
Participate in refinement sessions, break features into tasks, estimate them and identify UX or technical risks
Review pull requests and maintain frontend standards, performance and documentation
Collaborate with backend developers, UX/UI designers, QA and the Product Owner
Translate designs into pixel-accurate, consistent interfaces

Requirements

What you’ll need

Around 5 years of professional frontend experience, with at least 3 years in React
Strong TypeScript, HTML5 and modern CSS skills
Hands-on experience with Vite, including project setup, environment configuration and build optimisation
Experience with shadcn/ui, Tailwind CSS and Radix UI
Solid automated testing skills with Vitest and/or Jest, ideally with React Testing Library
Experience consuming REST APIs, including authentication, error handling and pagination
Good grounding in web accessibility (WCAG) and responsive design
Experience with routing, such as React Router or TanStack Router
Experience with form validation, such as Zod
Familiarity with ESLint, Prettier, Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in agile teams using Scrum or Kanban
Good English communication skills for working with international stakeholders
Nice-to-have experience with Storybook, Zustand, TanStack Query, TanStack Form, legacy server-rendered pages, Playwright or Cypress, design systems, Figma, frontend performance, Java web backends, and banking or regulated environments
