About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join the squad responsible for extending the loyalty experience (points and benefits) in the client’s app
Build and evolve highly available, event-driven microservices and data ecosystems in the Azure cloud
Design and architect highly available, resilient, and scalable solutions in the Azure cloud
Define relational SQL database architecture and modeling
Lead the optimization of complex queries, indexing, execution plans, and high-performance strategies
Architect and lead data integration and ingestion pipelines at scale using Azure Data Factory
Define asynchronous integration and enterprise messaging patterns
Guide the development of Java microservices using Spring Boot or Quarkus
Ensure the quality, security, and automated testing of persistence code
Structure, standardize, and evolve automated continuous integration and delivery pipelines through GitHub Actions
Provide ongoing technical mentorship to mid-level and junior developers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience working with the Java ecosystem, including Spring Boot or Quarkus
Efficient integration with persistence layers
Solid experience in relational modeling
Advanced query optimization (query tuning)
Experience with stored procedures, views, and indexing
Experience managing SQL databases: Azure SQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
Strong command of the Azure ecosystem, including App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, Key Vault, Event Hubs, Service Bus, and Azure Data Factory
Strong command of building and maintaining automated pipelines through GitHub Actions
Collaborative Git workflows
Strong command of event-driven systems such as Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
Use of AI in day-to-day work
