About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze existing applications and workflows in C#/.NET
  • Enhance and develop .NET Worker Services
  • Develop APIs using ASP.NET Core
  • Implement data integration and persistence in Azure Cosmos DB
  • Work with data from SQL Server
  • Implement JSON serialization and contracts
  • Create and enhance REST/OpenAPI APIs
  • Implement versioning, filtering, sorting, and pagination
  • Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth2/OIDC
  • Develop mechanisms for idempotency, retry/backoff, failure handling, and reprocessing
  • Work with concurrent and distributed processing
  • Implement logging, metrics, and telemetry
  • Create unit, integration, and contract tests
  • Support consistency validations between SQL Server and Cosmos DB
  • Work on applications running in Kubernetes/AKS
  • Switch between different solution components according to the phase and backlog priorities
  • Work within a cross-functional engineering pool, contributing to different solution components

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong experience with C# and .NET
  • Experience with ASP.NET Core
  • Experience with .NET Worker Services or equivalent backend processing
  • REST API development and integration
  • Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger and JSON
  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and/or AKS
  • Experience with unit and integration testing
  • Knowledge of API authentication and authorization
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing existing applications
  • Knowledge of resilience patterns, including retry, backoff, and failure handling
  • Strong experience in backend development, systems integration, and Microsoft Azure environments
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB and the Cosmos DB SDK
  • Preferred: experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Preferred: knowledge of Azure API Management
  • Preferred: experience with OAuth2/OIDC and Entra ID
  • Preferred: knowledge of idempotency and at-least-once processing
  • Preferred: experience with high-volume applications
  • Preferred: knowledge of observability, distributed logging, metrics, and tracing
  • Preferred: experience with event-driven architecture, CQRS, or read models
  • Technical autonomy
