About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the team’s technical point of reference
- Participate in architectural decisions
- Define development standards
- Design, develop, and enhance backend applications using Python and FastAPI
- Define and promote architecture and development best practices
- Participate in technical discussions and provide technical support to the team
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and observability
- Contribute to the evolution of the platform architecture
- Participate in code reviews
- Mentor less experienced developers
- Support quality, security, and technical governance initiatives
- Build and evolve high-scale digital platforms
Requirements
What you’ll need- Based in Brazil
- Solid experience in backend development using Python
- Strong knowledge of FastAPI
- Advanced experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling
- Experience with distributed architectures and microservices
- Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Technical leadership skills and the ability to make architectural decisions
- Experience working in agile environments
- Experience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar) is a plus
- Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience with event-driven architecture is a plus
- Experience with highly available systems and high transaction volumes is a plus
