About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Commercial Banking account teams through client acquisition, relationship management, and credit management processes
  • Provide transactional support for client-specific financing solutions
  • Assist Relationship Managers in coordinating activities through the sales cycle
  • Liaise with other CIBC units as necessary
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to growth targets
  • Identify business opportunities and develop financing solutions for clients
  • Research industries, clients, and prospects to evaluate business growth opportunities
  • Prepare analyses supporting credit submissions, including structuring and documentation
  • Assess client needs and propose appropriate solutions
  • Interact with assigned clients to respond promptly to questions, enquiries, and issues
  • Develop client and prospect proposals for financial and strategic solutions
  • Prepare for progression to Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in financial statements and accounting principles, including valuation techniques and cash flow analysis
  • Degree/diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s)
  • Valid work or study permit where applicable
  • May be required to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests
  • May be required to complete French proficiency testing
