About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the transformation of the US CAO/TDAI 1B program
  • Develop, execute, and continually assess Governance, Risk & Control strategies
  • Align GRC strategies with enterprise risk appetite, business goals, emerging risks, and regulatory expectations
  • Maintain and enhance operating models for collaboration, accountability, and transparency around the 1B Risk Program
  • Design and implement a Practice Management framework for issues management, control management, incident management, and metric reporting
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and the second line of defense to drive efficiencies and perform continuous monitoring
  • Use data analytics and AI to strengthen reporting to senior leadership
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination with internal stakeholders in the US and Canada across all three lines of defense
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through new technologies, automation, and AI tools
  • Streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and improve program effectiveness
  • Advise business partners on risk management and risk matters
  • Foster a positive risk culture of awareness and accountability
  • Deliver insights and recommendations to diverse audiences, including senior leadership
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to optimize programs and provide effective support
  • Drive continuous-improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability
  • Provide expert guidance to lines of business on risk management activities and operational risk standards
  • Manage multiple complex initiatives and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Identify potential issues, escalate concerns, and drive timely resolution to ensure compliance and mitigate risk

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Risk Management and Practice Management within the financial industry
  • Proven experience developing, leading, and executing GRC strategies in a fast-paced financial services environment
  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop long-term plans aligned with organizational goals
  • Critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, identify opportunities and risks, and make informed decisions
  • Innovative problem-solving skills and ability to develop original solutions
  • Ability to execute ideas and lead cross-functional teams
  • Ability to build constructive and collaborative relationships
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and deliver insights and recommendations
  • Experience leveraging data tools such as Power BI
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and extensive risk management expertise
  • Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s)
  • Valid work or study permit where applicable
  • Must complete attribute-based assessments and other skills tests if requested
