About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead freight intelligence analyses by evaluating market trends, capacity availability, seasonality, and pricing behavior by origin and destination
- Prepare and monitor freight budgets, rolling forecasts, and logistics cost projections to support leadership decision-making
- Develop short-, medium-, and long-term transportation planning scenarios, contributing to integrated planning and logistics strategy
- Conduct economic feasibility and profitability studies for new flows, network changes, distribution centers, modes, and supply origins
- Identify and lead cost-reduction and efficiency-enhancement opportunities through load consolidation, route optimization, increased vehicle utilization, and modal reviews
- Perform comparative analyses of the performance of carriers, owner-operators, and other logistics partners, supporting management and contracting decisions
- Structure, monitor, and improve logistics performance indicators, such as freight cost per ton, TKU, vehicle utilization, plan adherence, fleet availability, service level, and savings
- Develop executive dashboards and management analyses, transforming complex data into clear information to support decision-making
- Lead diagnostics and action plans using KPIs, PDCA, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Act as a strategic partner to Commercial, Logistics, Operations, and other corporate functions by proposing solutions and challenging processes to drive greater efficiency
- Promote a data-driven culture and evidence-based decision-making within Logistics
- Participate in innovation, digital transformation, and logistics process enhancement projects, including initiatives related to TMS, Control Towers, and Logistics 4.0
- Support the development and implementation of excellence programs, procedures, standards, and logistics policies, while also contributing to knowledge sharing and team training
- Participate in strategic projects from diagnosis and resource sizing through supplier definition and solution implementation
- Identify and capture operational and financial efficiency opportunities, contributing directly to business results
- Share knowledge and provide technical leadership, supporting team development and the creation of high-performance solutions
- Work in compliance with the principles, values, and policies governing Occupational Health and Safety, the Environment, and Cimento Nacional’s Code of Conduct
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, Planning, Market Intelligence, or related areas
- Experience in transportation planning and management and/or freight intelligence
- Knowledge of budget control, cost management, and profitability studies
- Experience managing and analyzing performance indicators
- Advanced Excel
- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools
- Knowledge of SAP or another ERP system
- Knowledge of PDCA and continuous improvement tools
- Intermediate English proficiency
- An MBA or postgraduate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Data, or a related field is a plus
- Experience with TMS, Control Tower, or Logistics 4.0 implementation projects is a plus
- Experience in large companies and/or highly complex logistics operations is a plus
- Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, Python, or Artificial Intelligence tools is a plus
- Knowledge of applied statistics, Machine Learning, and predictive modeling is a plus
- Knowledge of Operations Research and Network Design is a plus
- Experience applying AI in logistics is a plus
- Advanced English proficiency is a plus
