Key responsibilities & impact

Lead projects and collaborate with commercial insights, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, data teams, external vendor partners, service owners, and IS partners
Develop analytical models and insights across the Puerto Rico Operations Organization
Lead advanced analytics projects end to end
Innovate and create business impact through advanced analytics techniques
Lead and develop data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence capabilities
Participate in cross-functional projects and programs to derive insights and business value
Work independently with minimal supervision
Identify business needs, perform SWOT analysis, propose analytical approaches, obtain approvals, and execute work end to end
Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts using Python
Work with SQL and other database query languages
Develop methodologies with stakeholders to answer business questions
Present analysis ideas, progress, and results clearly to business partners
Create business stories in PowerPoint
Assure compliance with regulatory, security, and privacy requirements related to data assets

Requirements

What you’ll need

Work experience in programming, coding, system design and architecture, algorithms and data structures
Experience with statistical software and coding languages such as R, MATLAB, SAS, and Python
Experience with database languages such as SQL
Experience articulating business questions and using programming techniques to establish business solutions
Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems
Demonstrated skill in selecting appropriate tools for a problem
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Fully bilingual in Spanish and English
Strong logical, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and self-motivation
Excellent time and project management skills
Ability to communicate analysis clearly, precisely, and actionably
Strong negotiation skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
