About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and develop the Salesforce team, setting priorities, standards and expectations
  • Act as the senior escalation point during incidents, complex delivery decisions and stakeholder conflicts
  • Shape the team operating model, including capacity planning, work allocation, skills development, recruitment support and specialist-partner use
  • Own the health and evolution of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud
  • Set and enforce platform standards for configuration, automation, data models, naming, documentation, testing and technical debt
  • Perform complex Salesforce administration, including Flow automation, permissions, validation rules, objects, page layouts, Lightning pages, reports, dashboards, analytics and troubleshooting
  • Manage users, joiner/mover/leaver processing, delegated administration and platform hygiene
  • Configure and maintain Experience Cloud portals and external access
  • Manage platform roadmap, seasonal releases, feature adoption, deprecations, sandboxes and environments
  • Evaluate and deploy AppExchange packages
  • Oversee Salesforce integrations with Slack and other enterprise applications
  • Establish Slack API monitoring and integration alerting standards
  • Govern connected apps, OAuth scopes, named credentials, integration users, event-driven services and API consumption
  • Lead incident response and problem management
  • Own Salesforce security posture, sharing architecture, access controls, audits and compliance activities
  • Manage licences, certificates, connected-app and OAuth lifecycles
  • Own delivery backlog, release management, GitHub workflows, testing, rollback planning and release communications
  • Maintain configuration and change-management documentation
  • Improve platform support through service measures, triage, knowledge articles, problem records and trend analysis
  • Champion Salesforce data quality and provide reporting on adoption, failures, API consumption, incidents, release quality, access risk and technical debt
  • Evaluate and safely adopt Agentforce, Salesforce AI and adjacent enterprise AI tools
  • Work closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Security, Enterprise Architecture, IT Operations, Data, Integration teams and implementation partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years as a Salesforce Administrator in large, multi-team environments
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (required)
  • Proven people leadership, including line management, coaching, performance support, work prioritisation and development of Salesforce administrators or platform specialists
  • Deep practical knowledge of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Deep Salesforce security expertise, including organisation-wide defaults, role hierarchies, sharing models, permission sets, field-level security, identity, privileged access, connected apps and audit controls
  • Hands-on Experience Cloud capability, including external sharing models, guest access and community configuration
  • Proven Salesforce DevOps and change-management experience using GitHub, including version-controlled deployment workflows, pull-request review and release governance
  • Experience operating API-led integrations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, authentication, limits, failure handling and coordination across technical teams
  • Experience managing SSL and authentication certificates and maintaining integration health
  • Strong declarative delivery capability, particularly Flow, data modelling, validation, Lightning configuration, reporting and environment management
  • Sound release and change-management experience, including sandbox strategy, source control, testing, deployment governance and production support
  • Confident stakeholder management and ability to translate between commercial priorities, user needs, technical constraints and risk
  • Strong solution and design judgement, with understanding of platform architecture and enterprise-level data modelling
  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator certification or other relevant credentials preferred
  • Experience with Ironclad, Qualtrics and Slack CRM / Sales Elevate, or comparable CLM, survey and Slack-CRM tooling preferred
  • Agentforce or Salesforce AI experience preferred
  • Experience with Claude or other enterprise AI platforms preferred
  • Experience with Slack platform capabilities and APIs preferred
  • Working knowledge of Okta or comparable enterprise identity provider preferred
  • Exposure to NetSuite, MuleSoft, Celigo, Boomi, Workato, Zapier, identity providers or data platforms preferred
  • Experience in a SaaS, technology or high-growth environment preferred
