About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, grow, and coach a team of engineers across Analytics and Member Growth while remaining hands-on
Review designs and pull requests and ship code daily
Own the technical strategy and architecture for Circle's analytics stack, including data visualizations, ClickHouse infrastructure, and LLM-powered natural-language data experiences
Own the Member Growth roadmap covering onboarding, activation, and reducing friction to community engagement
Partner with product, design, data, and leadership to create a measurable, data-informed growth roadmap
Use AI agents for planning, coding, review, and triage, while building shared tools and critically evaluating outputs
Design and oversee A/B tests and experimentation to improve activation, retention, and community health
Hire, mentor, and develop engineers and run performance and career-growth processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Prior experience leading or managing engineering teams
Experience leading engineers on large initiatives, setting direction, reviewing work, and developing engineers while remaining hands-on
7+ years of experience shipping production software on complex web applications
Experience with Ruby on Rails, MySQL/PostgreSQL, ReactJS, and TypeScript
Strong track record in data/analytics infrastructure or growth/lifecycle product engineering
Comfort working collaboratively with engineering, product, design, and go-to-market stakeholders
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving problem spaces and translate findings into team priorities
Strong alignment with Circle's values
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (CEFR C2 or equivalent)
