About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the Common Collection System’s financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Develop and maintain financial models for revenue, cost structures, and reserves
  • Develop and maintain KPIs and financial metrics for internal reporting
  • Manage journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Review accounting procedures and ensure compliance with policies and best practices
  • Monitor regulatory changes affecting financial reporting and compliance
  • Provide financial analysis and variance reporting to senior management
  • Oversee collection, allocation, reconciliation, and settlement processes
  • Lead annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and financial projections
  • Lead scenario planning and sensitivity analysis
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for business decisions and strategic initiatives
  • Implement and oversee financial reporting systems integrated with ERP and accounting software
  • Automate reporting processes and improve financial reporting capabilities
  • Evaluate and improve financial processes and reporting tools
  • Partner with senior leadership, operational teams, and department heads
  • Communicate financial data, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies for audits, reviews, and regulatory requirements
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the financial reporting team
  • Manage assigned team members and support execution of team responsibilities
  • Perform additional ad-hoc tasks as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience, including 3 years in senior leadership roles
  • Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and/or variance analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software such as SAP and Datarails
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong preference for experience in Power BI dashboard development and AWS
  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence concepts preferred
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling and/or variance analysis
  • Experience amalgamating large data sets to provide actionable insights
  • Experience with financial consolidation, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and/or financial analysis
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining complex financial insights to non-financial stakeholders and senior management
  • Proven track record of establishing new processes, automating manual workflows, and/or developing dashboards
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity, personal responsibility, and accountability
  • CPA or other relevant certification preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
