About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct engineering support for Cirrus Logic customers and field personnel
- Develop reference designs and demonstration platforms
- Develop application notes, white papers, demo boards, and reference-design manuals
- Implement customer-application-focused data collection and circuit analysis
- Debug analog and digital silicon issues
- Collaborate with tier-1 customers, marketing, and internal engineering teams to understand requirements and use cases
- Contribute to next-generation product definition
- Autonomously manage tasks and priorities
- Communicate project status cross-functionally
- Travel approximately 2 weeks per year, domestically and abroad
- Help bring next-generation Power and Mixed-Signal Products to market and enable customer integration into end products
Requirements
What you’ll need- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Must be able to access technical data without requiring an export license
- BSEE with 2+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry or MSEE
- Experience with integrated DC-to-DC switching buck and/or boost converters, battery chargers, and mixed-signal circuits for portable or power electronic products
- Demonstrated aptitude in system understanding of industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, USB, UART, I2S, and SPMI
- Experience in component selection, schematic entry, and knowledge of PCB layout design
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, or similar
- Extensive hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, signal generators, audio analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work across functional groups and organizations
- Experience with embedded C/C++ programming is preferred
- Self-motivation, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are highly valued
