About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist engineers in developing and producing mixed-signal and analog semiconductor ICs
- Perform electrical bench testing and automated test equipment (ATE) analysis
- Design and build test hardware for validation and characterization
- Collect, analyze, and summarize performance and yield data
- Support New Product Introduction activities, including matrix lot reviews, GRR, CPK analysis, and test program release
- Contribute to yield enhancement and cost reduction initiatives for ramping products
- Interface with cross-functional teams to manage production ramp deliverables and timelines
- Support validation of mixed-signal analog converters, Class D digital power amplifiers, and digital interface products
- Support pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation efforts
- Collaborate with design, applications, and manufacturing test engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience with mixed-signal product engineering and IC testing
- Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, waveform generators, and power supplies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving mindset and willingness to iterate on solutions
- Knowledge of yield analysis and statistical techniques, including ANOVA, Regression, and GRR
- Familiarity with Spotfire, JMP, Excel, and PDF
- Understanding of high-volume production ramps and test hardware debugging
- Must be based within commutable distance of the Austin, Texas work location or willing to relocate before beginning the internship
- Must be able to access technical data without Cirrus Logic obtaining an export license
- Must be able to work without visa sponsorship
- Preferred: Experience with Teradyne UFlex, Excerra, or Catalyst test systems
- Preferred: Knowledge of Linux/Unix shell scripting
- Preferred: Familiarity with IC or board-level test and failure analysis methodologies
