About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design analog and mixed-signal layouts from size estimation and floor planning through layout completion
- Implement advanced device matching techniques
- Work proactively with design engineers to achieve efficient circuit performance
- Route at block level and chip top level using assisted/automated tools
- Integrate digital and analogue layout
- Estimate and plan layout timescales accurately
- Solve layout design issues and apply proactive intervention
- Collaborate with other disciplines through written and verbal communication
- Complete layout and physical verification of analogue and mixed-signal designs using industry-standard CAD tools
- Support design engineers and physical design engineers using first-level layout experience
- Identify areas for improvement and provide input into block/chip-level project schedules
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree in electronic / IC layout CAD specialisation or related program and proven experience of IC layout design
- Ability to layout analog circuitry in a size/time constrained environment
- Understanding of common centroid, matching, isolation, shielding, and dummy device techniques
- Solid understanding of ESD, Latch-up, STI, WPE, electro-migration, IR drop, cross-coupling capacitance, DFM, and Antenna effect
- Ability to solve design problems using technical skills, intuition, and creativity
- Proficiency in floor planning with block assembly and block-level routing
- LVS troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Proven track record in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Comfortable working collaboratively with others
- Candidates must be able to access technical data without requiring an export license
