About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify, develop, close, and retain factoring relationships for Bay View Funding
- Increase new business by identifying, sourcing, and closing viable factoring prospects across a variety of industries
- Expand Bay View Funding’s national footprint
- Conduct outreach, personal networking, and attend social/business events in the community and surrounding area
- Engage established local and national COI referral sources and manage a pipeline of appointments
- Source prospective clients requiring factoring services and maintain proactive communication to win relationships
- Leverage marketing tactics and techniques to achieve business development goals
- Develop revenue growth through generation of loans and fee income
- Liaise between prospective clients and underwriting/credit departments
- Prepare, present, and negotiate financing proposals and documents
- Cultivate relationships with senior team members and leverage resources across departments
- Mitigate risk and maintain a client-centric focus
- Maintain knowledge of industry, economy, market conditions, rates, vendors, and competition
- Comply with company policies, procedures, applicable federal and state laws, BSA, OFAC, vendor management, information and data security, and SEC regulations
- Provide, present, and promote the Citizens Experience to external and internal customers
- Perform other duties as assigned
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in business, finance, or accounting preferred from a four-year college or university; and/or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to customer, regulatory agency, and business community inquiries or complaints
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication
- Ability to present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
- Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to utilize CRM, loan origination, and relationship management systems
- Ability to prepare financial analyses, financing proposals, and client presentations using business software applications
- Proficiency with virtual communication, presentation, and collaboration tools
- Ability to research and analyze industry, market, and economic information using online resources and reporting tools
- Strong database management and recordkeeping skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience interpreting financial reports and legal documents
- Masterful relationship building and business development with influential and decision-making skills
- Business acumen and knowledge of unique industries, markets, business banking products, and services
- Excellent communication skills with external and internal clients
- Proven time management and problem-solving skills; ability to organize, prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
