About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct unannounced onsite banking-center assessments and monthly transaction quality assurance reviews
  • Evaluate operational controls, documentation, logs, staff knowledge, policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, security protocols, and escalation expectations
  • Identify and document control deficiencies, policy deviations, operational losses, near-miss events, and emerging risk trends
  • Analyze recurring findings and process gaps and recommend improvements to controls, procedures, training, documentation, and management reporting
  • Monitor corrective actions, evaluate remediation evidence, maintain the tracking repository, and escalate overdue or inadequate remediation
  • Maintain assessment and testing documentation, including sampling registers, workpapers, evidence, findings, conclusions, and review results
  • Communicate assessment results and provide risk-based coaching or procedural guidance
  • Prepare management reporting on assessments, transaction reviews, operational losses, findings, trends, and corrective actions
  • Provide assessment results for line-of-business risk and compliance forums and enterprise risk reporting
  • Liaise with frontline business units, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, BSA/AML/OFAC, Fraud, and other support functions
  • Provide operational support and risk-based coaching on new or revised policies, procedures, controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Promote proactive identification, reporting, escalation, and remediation of operational and regulatory risks
  • Participate in special projects, process changes, control enhancements, and other assignments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–7 years of experience in Retail Banking
  • Working knowledge of bank operations
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, coaching, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Excellent follow-up skills, attention to detail, and a customer service attitude
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
