About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, review and maintain procedures for Banking Centers and Client Services
- Collaborate with department managers, supervisors, subject matter experts and key employees to document procedures
- Document steps and requirements according to Bank policy and regulatory requirements
- Organize and maintain the company-wide Procedures library
- Present procedures to management and department heads for approval
- Manage, analyze, research, develop, compose and edit procedures
- Develop and follow standards and processes for Procedures documentation
- Serve as the go-to person for Procedures documentation standards, formats and content
- Manage procedure lifecycles from request tracking through publication and periodic review
- Provide timely communications on procedure status
- Initiate and manage meetings with subject matter experts to create and revise procedures
- Revise and update procedures and recommend process improvements
- Review proposed changes and identify affected procedures
- Facilitate agreement across multiple lines of business on process flows and workflows
- Communicate new procedures and updates to applicable business units
- Maintain an organized archive of procedure changes
- Provide documentation to auditors when directed by Management
- Consult with Legal, Compliance, Human Resources and Enterprise Risk on regulatory compliance
- Partner with Training to help employees understand and implement required changes
- Prioritize requests related to regulatory changes, audit findings and client impacts
- Maintain and manage incoming requests in a centralized reporting location
- Lead monthly Procedures Task Force meetings and distribute agendas and minutes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2-4 years as a procedure writer within a financial services environment
- Must have banking center experience
- Procedure writing for banking centers preferred
- Exceptional written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Background and knowledge in financial services regulatory compliance or risk management is a plus
- Time management skills to handle high volume workloads often with overlapping deadlines
- High proficiency with MS365/MicrosoftOffice tools
- Advanced Word skills required; macros and VBA coding a plus
- Intermediate Outlook, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Smartsheet skills preferred
- Must be a fast learner on technical skills and able to grasp unfamiliar systems quickly
- Professional, personal demeanor and customer service orientation essential
- Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding and rapidly changing environment
- Impeccable discretion and professionalism in dealing with confidential information
- Ability to independently analyze, identify, research, prioritize, and troubleshoot issues
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to use logic, reason and sound judgment
- Ability to make sound decisions with limited supervision
- Rigorous attention to detail and keen problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to interact effectively with others
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Law, or Business Administration related degrees preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
