About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and be accountable for Civia's global study delivery function
- Own delivery of the global study portfolio across start-up, recruitment, execution, and close-out
- Deliver studies to time, cost, quality, and client expectations
- Partner closely with in-country delivery teams and hold a single high standard across geographies
- Act as a primary client point of contact for delivery
- Provide transparent, forward-looking delivery communication on progress, risks, variance, and recovery actions
- Own project-management excellence, methodology, governance routines, escalation pathways, and decision rights
- Coach, uplift, mentor, and develop delivery and project-management colleagues
- Align Site Operations, Recruitment, Regulatory, Data, Quality, and Safety with country teams
- Identify, create, and implement delivery methodology, documentation, baselines, forecasts, and KPIs
- Own study-performance reporting as the single source of truth
- Establish portfolio governance, audit and inspection readiness, corrective actions, and continuous improvement
- Intervene directly and decisively when delivery performance is at risk
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10-15 years of relevant experience with deep operational understanding of clinical trial delivery and its dependencies
- Track record of delivering strategic and operational outcomes
- Proven ability to design, document, implement, and scale delivery and project-management systems
- Strong regulatory, GCP, GDPR and operational literacy
- Strong analytical and financial literacy
- Platform experience with CRIO, HubSpot, and Monday.com
- B.S. or B.A.; MBA or equivalent advantageous
- Science related degree preferred
- Highly accountable, resilient, and composed under pressure
- Self-directed, organised, and adaptive
- Communicates with authority, transparency, and credibility at leadership level
