Key responsibilities & impact
  • Undertake civil and structural engineering design
  • Prepare and check drawings and calculations
  • Brief Engineers and Technicians on designs, drawings and calculations
  • Attend site and project team meetings
  • Occasionally visit construction sites to survey or inspect works
  • Participate in internal reviews and critiques

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience across a mix of sectors including residential, education, commercial, development and regeneration
  • Experience in civil and structural engineering design
  • Highways or drainage experience
  • Experience preparing and checking drawings and calculations
  • Recently chartered or well on the way to chartership
  • Technical expertise and effective communication skills
  • People management, business development and commercial abilities
  • Contractual awareness demonstrated through past projects
  • Project resource planning and deadline management skills
  • Interest in architecture and the wider public realm/built environment
  • Ability to comply with the duties of Designer under the CDM Regulations 2015
  • Ability to comply with the Practice QMS
  • Collaborative, helpful, creative, passionate and enthusiastic approach
