About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage installed resources, including access list controls, antivirus systems, security guidelines, and disk space usage
  • Monitor and control data and voice networks
  • Perform backups
  • Replace IT equipment in the event of failures
  • Perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance
  • Install, support, monitor, and maintain IT tools such as Microsoft Office and open-source software
  • Manage the telephone system
  • Control access to and image quality of the CCTV system
  • Configure firewall security settings
  • Support the organization’s mission and vision by following technical, quality, safety, environmental, hygiene, health, and ethical standards
  • Provide guidance to less experienced professionals
  • Perform other related duties as required by the department and directed by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Previous experience in technical support and systems administration
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Knowledge of hardware
  • Familiarity with IT management and information security tools
  • Ability to solve problems proactively and efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • IT certifications will be considered an advantage
