About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and review all statutory accounting work in the allocated portfolio
- Prepare monthly tasks such as flux analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
- Analyze accounts monthly to identify unusual or irregular transactions and recommend resolutions
- Provide guidance to other statutory accounting staff and assist with mentoring to meet client deadlines
- Prepare year-end financial close activities, including US-to-local-GAAP reconciliations and local-GAAP financial statements
- Serve as a key figure for quarterly and year-end audits
- Act as the main contact with auditors for preparation of the PBC list
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting, tax and finance projects
- Support the financial department across various European countries
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Good MS Office Skills
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Fluency in English (Written and Verbal)
- At least B2 level of German
- Good knowledge of Accounting principles
- 2-3 years experience working on accounting
- Ability to organize large amounts of data
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills with proactive, supportive and positive approach
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to travel in accordance with client and other job requirements
- SAP ERP knowledge is required
- SSC environment would be an asset
