About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, supervise, and control all phases of the Firm’s nonprofit and other regulated industry assurance engagements
  • Plan engagement timing, staffing, and execution to promote efficient operations and deliver client value
  • Lead decision-making for assigned engagements and keep the Engagement Principal informed of major decisions and progress
  • Develop and train team members through recruiting, assignment planning, problem resolution, staff consultation, performance evaluation, and professional development instruction
  • Supervise preparation of engagement letters, discuss assignment terms with clients, estimate fees, and ensure signed letters are returned before engagement start
  • Evaluate and revise internal controls and audit programs prepared by staff, presenting them to the Engagement Principal for approval
  • Monitor engagement time budgets and deadlines, communicate developments and recommendations to the Engagement Principal, manage client relationships, and prepare final client meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation and audits
  • CPA license certification is required
  • Ability to lead a team of high-performing people
  • Issue-solving ability and solution-oriented approach
  • Client advisory skills to help businesses succeed strategically
