About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, supervise, and control all phases of the Firm’s regular services for delegated clients
  • Plan timing, staffing, and execution of assurance engagements
  • Lead decision-making for assigned engagements and keep the Engagement Principal informed
  • Recruit, plan assignments, resolve problems, consult with staff, evaluate performance, and lead professional development programs
  • Supervise preparation of engagement letters, discuss assignments with clients, estimate fees, and secure signed engagement letters
  • Evaluate and revise internal controls and audit programs
  • Monitor engagement budgets and deadlines
  • Communicate developments, facts, conclusions, and recommendations to the Engagement Principal
  • Provide ongoing attention to client management and prepare final client meetings
  • Develop and train staff
  • Expand services and develop new business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 6+ years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations
  • Current CPA license required
  • Advanced technical knowledge of audit, accounting, and tax concepts
  • Ability to travel to client sites that may also require overnight travel
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to show strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Dynamic interpersonal manner with capacity to develop and train staff
  • Excellent client service orientation with an ability to expand services and develop new business
